The Fallen Skeleton King is back in World Zero, and he’s just as annoying as ever, so when you’re taking him on in Roblox, keep this boss guide handy. On the bright side, he has the chance of dropping a lot of really rare and powerful gear. The Fallen Skeleton King won’t stick around forever, though. During Week 2 and Week 4 of the Halloween event, you can challenge him in The Fallen Throne dungeon.
World Zero Boss Guide: How to Beat Fallen Skeleton King
The Fallen Skeleton King is no walk in the park. He is absolutely devastating in terms of damage, not to mention his health bar is insane. He’s level 135 and has 42 million health. Yes, I said million, with an M.
I recommend being at, near, or above the Skeleton King’s level. Or, at the very least, you should bring some friends if you’re a little underleveled. Also, bring a pet that can heal if you’re going to solo him.
Fallen Skeleton King Phase 1 Moveset
Most of what you’ll be dealing with is ground hazards, projectiles, some fight mechanics, and extra mobs. The Fallen Skeleton King also has two phases—the first phase he uses his fists, then switches to a sword, which has him adopting different abilities, too.
- Stomp: He readies his foot, stomps the ground, and deals damage in a tight circle around him. Dash away to avoid this.
- Homing Skulls: He summons up to four flaming, floating skulls that orbit him, then home in on players and explode. Running in tight circles will help you dodge these.
- Purple Orb: He’ll charge a large purple orb in his hands. After a few seconds, it’ll explode, then rain four missiles in a small area around the player and will cause Fear if they hit. Immediately run outside the purple zone to avoid the damage.
- Swipe: If you get close, he’ll swipe his arm one way, then slam his arm into the ground. If you’re within melee range, dash back. If you’re ranged, you don’t have to worry!
- Portals: Ghoul Knights and Spirit Horses will periodically spawn in. You can’t close the portal, so take them down when they appear.
- Curse: At 75% health, the Skeleton King summons a clock, then applies a curse to everyone. Fallen Guards will also spawn and the boss is invulnerable at this time. You must kill the Fallen Guards within 25 seconds to clear the curse or everyone dies.
During this phase, the Skeleton King is pretty relaxed and his attacks are obviously telegraphed. Stay out of the danger zones and widdle his health down to 50%.
Fallen Skeleton King Phase 2 Moveset
Once you get the Fallen Skeleton King down to 50% health, he’ll summon a massive skeletal greatsword. He’ll still have portals, homing skulls, and will occasionally curse the player, in addition to these abilities:
- Blast Waves: Similar to his Purple Orb attack, but he’ll use his sword instead. When he stabs the ground, three waves of energy appear, one after another and get bigger each time. It’s best to keep your distance at this time.
- Shadow Roots: Using his sword, roots will shoot out of the ground. He deals AOE damage if you’re too close, as well as root you if you stand in one of the smaller AOEs that appear throughout the area.
- Sword Swipe: The Skeleton King swings his sword in a near circle. There’s a small gap you can retreat to, to dodge the attack or dash away.
- Sword Slam: He’ll slam his sword into the ground three times, followed by two sword swipes, then closes with another sword slam. The slam attacks are somewhat slow and obviously telegraphed, so use that as an opportunity to get the heck out of there.
The Fallen Skeleton King is very aggressive during Phase 2. I recommend focusing more on avoiding the purple zones and get your shots in between his attacks. If you’re in a group, be sure to have a tank keep focus and ranged classes stick to the outer edges of the arena.
