Despite being a really chill Roblox game, Fisch has quite a few layers every novice fisherman should be aware of, and if that’s you, then this beginner’s guide is for you. I’ll break down the mechanics of fishing, bait, rods, making money, and, when you’re ready, getting a boat to set sail. Before you know it, you’ll be fishing alongside the best in the business in Roblox Fisch. It’s time you got your sea legs!
How to Fish in Roblox Fisch
Let’s get the most essential part of Roblox Fisch out of the way first: learning how to fish. While we’re at it, we’ll get you a quest to help you gain some experience. On Moosewood Island, speak with Pierre. He’s standing near the dock, to the left of the Shipwright. Pierre will give you a quest to capture three fish!
Now head to the nearest water source and equip your fishing rod. Hold the action button—on PC it’s left-click—then let it go when the cast meter is at or near the top. The higher the bar, the further your line will go.
When the bobber is out, you’ll see a SHAKE button appear on your screen. You have to keep selecting the SHAKE button; however, it moves around the screen until a fish bites, indicated by an exclamation point over your head.
When that happens, two bars will appear along the bottom, indicating the strength of your reel and the fishing progress bar. See the little fish icon in the upper bar, too? It’ll move randomly along the top bar.
Your goal is to keep the fish icon within the top white block, which you control with the left mouse button. Naturally, it moves to the left, but holding Left-Click will move the bar to the right. In doing so, the smaller progress bar will fill up.
Reeling is a bit tricky in Roblox Fisch, just because of how sensitive your line is. The strategy I use is holding Left-Click for only about one or two seconds. I also like clicking fast if the fish icon is hovering somewhere in the middle; otherwise, the white block just moves to the left.
Where to Buy Bait and Rods in Roblox Fisch
While bait in Roblox Fisch isn’t necessary, it does make the process a little easier by improving your Luck and Lure Speed stats, but usually at the cost of Resilience. Some fish have such a low chance of appearing, using bait is the only way to realistically catch them within this century.
You can equip bait and rods you start with by opening your Equipment Bag. Simply pick a bait on the right-hand side and select Equip. I recommend using bait all the time. Don’t be stingy with it, either. You can always buy more!
There’s a sleeping fisherman by the docks on Moosewood Island. Right next to him is Bait Craits, which you can buy for $120 apiece. You’ll get a random assortment of bait.
Additionally, speak with Phineas and Angler. They’re both on Moosewood Island, too, just inside the village. Completing their quests will net you some bait. In fact, completing Phineas’s quest will award you 25 Bait Craits!
For rods, simply speak to any Merchant, like the one on Moosewood Island. Rods are placed outside their vendors for you to buy. More importantly, the Merchant is also where you sell your fish, too!
How to Get a Boat in Roblox Fisch
At some point, you’ll move on from Moosewood Island and into open waters, as well as other islands. Since there are different regions, only certain types of fish will appear in said region. However, getting a boat takes some effort.
You need to first be level 5, which you’ll get to relatively quickly after handing in your first quest to Pierre and fitting in fishing of your own. Anytime you catch a fish you’ll gain experience, but completing quests will net you more.
Once you are level 5, speak to the Shipwright. He’s near Pierre, along the docks. As a fresh level 5, you can only buy the Rowboat. Others will unlock as you level up (and you can see their level requirement in the purchase menu.)
After you set sail, go visit the other islands and fish in open waters. The more exotic the fish are, the more money you’ll make!
