After the dreadful dragon attack at Minrathous, you can accept several side missions to help the city recover. Among them is The Snake Nest Deal quest, where you can aid a woman who is searching for her husband in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. She will be sitting on the ground listlessly. After the Rook asks her what’s wrong, she’ll ask you to investigate a suspicious bar where her husband was seen last.

Your first objective is to investigate the Snake Nest bar. There will be some texts that you can find in the area, but you can also search the fireplace to see the remains of burnt documents. Your final task will be to talk with the bartender, who will pretend that she hasn’t seen Atticus.

Since the woman won’t speak up, you need to exit the bar to progress The Snake Nest Deal quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. There are two entrances, but you need to pass through the western door. Once you’re outside, Rook will comment on the strange sight of several bodies and blood on the ground.

You need to climb up the nearby ladder to reach the second floor. You will see more trails of blood that will lead you to the house that belongs to the Snake Nest bar owner. Here, you can read more texts that will tell the story behind the missing people. Once you gain this new information, you can head back to the bartender to make her speak up.

  1. Investigate the bookshelves to your right.
  2. Turn the lever to call the elevator up.
  3. Jump down to the pit and break the wooden wall.
  4. Head deeper into the Catacomb until you find the ritual circle.
  5. Read all the texts in the area and then jump past the rocks.
  6. Examine the body inside the cage to find Atticus.
  7. Break the support pillar to your right.
  8. Pick up one of the Power Crystals to activate the portal.
  9. Return and grab the second Power Crystal.
  10. Pass through the portal and place the Power Crystal.

You’ve now returned to the entrance of the Catacomb. Since you’ve found out the truth about Atticus’ fate, you need to report to Sabina to complete The Snake Nest Deal quest.
