Jay Leno is driving off the injuries he suffered following a nasty fall down a 60-foot hill. The comedian was spotted out and about shortly after opening up about his freak accident. Despite sporting a massive bruise on his face, Leno seemed in good spirits, not letting the drama weigh him down.
On Tuesday afternoon, the former talk show host took his vintage McLaren car for a spin in style. Leno opted for a casual look comprising a striped t-shirt tucked in a pair of jeans and finished off with black sneakers. The 74-year-old ditched his eye patch, putting his injuries on full display. His right arm was placed in a cast while he wore a sling on his left arm. One of his fingers was wrapped in gauze. The left side of his face was evidently darkened from the giant bruise there. Leno, covered up in a grey denim jacket, stepped out of the orange vehicle to run an errand before driving away from the location.
On Monday night, Leno showed up at the Comedy For Koby event in Beverly Hills, rocking an eye patch. While chatting with the paps, The Jay Leno Show revealed he tumbled down a hill while trying to visit a restaurant at the bottom. He had been staying at a hotel located at the top. “I fell down and rolled down the hill. Hit my head on a rock, knocked me in the eye,” the stand-up comic confessed. Leno also lost a nail on his finger and broke his wrist in the process.
Fans Think Jay Leno’s String Of Accidents Has Something To Do With ‘Dementia’
Despite the brutal fall, Leno revealed that he didn’t head to the hospital immediately. Instead, he brushed it off to attend his weekend performance at the Yaamava Casino in California. “When I came back to LA, I went to the hospital,” he explained. “It was only a couple of hours of the show, so. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s fine!” When asked about his eye, Leno noted that he isn’t worried about not seeing.
Just last year in January, Jay Leno’s Garage host suffered multiple broken bones after being knocked off his motorcycle. “I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps,” he said of the accident. Additionally, in November 2022, the Tonight Show alum burned his face severely after one of the vintage cars in his collection caught fire. He had to spend days at the hospital and undergo skin graft procedures.
With this string of accidents, fans are more than concerned for Leno’s wellbeing. “I am calling for a complete shutdown of Jay Leno’s schedule until we can figure out what the hell is going on,” one worried fan wrote. “Why is he always getting injured? Must be dementia or something. It’s no freak accident,” a second comment read.
