Street interviews are more common than ever now that we can record things on our phones. In fact, it’s almost common to be walking around in a big city and find someone partaking in a street interview of some kind. One set of men were involved in a street interview asking if they would fight for their country should they be drafted for war. Their responses are hilarious, and the replies below the Reddit video are even funnier.
The video goes down a line of different men all responding to the same question. They were asked if they would fight for their country if they were drafted. Every young man interviewed said the same thing: that they would do no such thing. Some of them even go so far as to say what they would do if the hypothetical situation came to fruition. What’s even funnier is that the only person who said he would fight for his country was an older Boomer.
Everyone else would rather watch the war from afar or, as some confessed, online. One person even stated that they would rather be fighting the war from within an online forum so he isn’t killed.
““I wouldn’t fight them on the beaches but maybe the forums.”
Brilliant.”
Many people would likely agree that war can be unnecessary, expensive, and, not to mention, incredibly dangerous. Being drafted is a scary thought because it means that you are chosen for military duty without being asked. However, it seems that these men know exactly what they would do if they were asked to join the military. Well, it seems that many of them would lie and say that they have an allergy or an ailment that prevents them from fighting.
Realistically, I would probably do the same thing if asked. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone willing to go to war in today’s political climate.
