Kris Jenner isn’t satisfied with being just the momager, according to new reports. The matriarch will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest Hollywood moms. After all, she set up her daughters for a lifetime of success. Kris is the mastermind strategist who turned a family of reality stars into entrepreneurs who built an empire. However, her bank account doesn’t match her hard work, and she wants that to change.
Resentment has reportedly set in, and Kris has found herself wanting to go head-to-head with the family’s biggest earners, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. With her daughter having mega businesses and careers of their own, the family’s reality show business is taking less priority. There were 20 seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and now five seasons of Hulu’s The Kardashians. While now seems like the right time to quit, especially with some daughters advocating for it, Kris is vehemently against it.
Although the 69-year-old often parades filming the reality show as an avenue of spending time with her adult children and grandchildren. Insiders say that is far from the truth.
“Make no mistake, the show has continued for all these years because it’s the part of the family’s business that Kris has the most direct control over.”
The informant describes the family’s Hulu show as “the cornerstone” of her own fortune. Hence, why she plans to keep it running until she is well into her seventies. “Kris has done well, but two of her kids are officially billionaires,” the source adds. “For Kris to keep up with the wealth generated by her daughters, especially Kim and Kylie, the reality show means everything to her, and it’s why she’s going to try to keep it going.”
Kris Jenner’s Priority Is ‘Work,’ Never Takes A Day Off
In July 2024, The Kardashians was renewed for season six. However, the future of the reality show still remains uncertain with budget cuts at the network. Recall that the last season documented Kris’ health scare after doctors found a tumor. While her prognosis was good, loved ones are worried her well-being might be in jeopardy again, given her intense desire for more wealth. An insider tells Life&Style:
“The woman never takes day off, even when she’s on vacation she takes meetings and answers every email. If she goes somewhere and they don’t have WiFi it’s a disaster because she’s always got to work, she makes that her priority.”
Kris Jenner also has her eyes set on the next generation of Kardashian-Jenner kids, trying to groom her grandchildren into the family business. However, a recent clash with her son, Rob Kardashian, over his daughter, Dream, has halted plans. The reality show seems like the last resort for the momager
