Grinding Gear Games has released an announcement listing various changes that will be implemented in Path of Exile 2. While the game has been a success after entering early access, there are many kinks and bugs that the developer needs to fix. In the forum post, Grinding Gear Games elaborates that they have listened to players’ feedback and listed things they want to improve in the upcoming patch.

The first item on the list is a minor adjustment to the dodge-roll mechanic. Many players have complained about being cornered by a group of enemies. While the developer still intends for this to occur, they agree that the frequency is too high and will adjust the player size so they will have an easier time getting past the enemies.

Another common complaint from Path of Exile 2 players is being teleported to a faraway checkpoint after dying. To fix this issue, the developer will implement a new feature where players can teleport between unlocked checkpoints by interacting with one. They will also add checkpoints to all entrances and exits of zones.

Grinding Gear Games also intends to change rare monsters. For one, they feel that the current rare monster drops are not rewarding enough, especially during the end game. The developer plans to double the rarity bonus per rare mod and increase the chance of rare monsters inherently having more modifiers.

Players who have been unlucky with their drops can rejoice because the developer also intends to add “Unlucky” Drop Protection. According to the announcement, gold drops from unique monsters will be limited to 50 percent and Act Bosses and Map Bosses will always drop at least one rare item.

The last item on the list is a change for end-game maps. Grinding Gear Games admits that they need to address map layouts and monster density issues in Path of Exile 2. In the upcoming patch, players will be able to see rare monsters on the minimap when 200 monsters remain. They will also add additional rare monsters to ensure there are enough of them in every map type.
