Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, has seemingly thrown some shade towards her critics. In a new Instagram post, the social media influencer posted a photo of her in a unique outfit on a red carpet. “Idk who needs to hear this, but the dirt you’re trying to find on me is on your neck.” The Pepperdine University graduate’s post arrived days after she made headlines for speaking about Kelce. In a promo for Fox’s Special Forces, Kayla broke down in tears in front of her cast mates. She mentioned the “overwhelming” split before telling her peers her ex-boyfriend was “Travis Kelce.”
Fans Desperately Want Kayla Nicole To Get Over Travis Kelce
Although some people may be living for the shade that Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend threw, many are not. Nicole’s new show, Special Forces, will air in January 2025 and will detail more of her breakup from Kelce. When the time comes, there will certainly be people living for the juicy details. But for now, some people only want Kayla to move on.
“Woke up to news of Kayla Nicole talking about her breakup AGAIN,” someone wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “While I wish her peace and the ability to move on with her life, her breakup with him was years ago and not public,” another person wrote. “She continually mentions her ex’s name and then complains and acts surprised when people call her out on this behavior.” A third person seemingly agreed, saying it’s been “years” since Kelce and Nicole split. “It’s literally about time to at least move on.”
Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend Lost Close Friends After Breakup
Since Kelce’s breakup with Kayla, the NFL player has been in a highly publicized partnership with Taylor Swift. The “Cruel Summer” singer is a frequent guest at Arrowhead Stadium and has gotten particularly close with the other wives and girlfriends. In the past, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend has spoken about how her relationship with them changed following their split.
According to sources close to the situation, Kayla felt “pushed out” of her once familiar circle when Swift entered the picture. She even unfollowed her ex-besties, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, on Instagram, causing much commotion. Later, she spoke with People about the decision, saying she communicated with the Mahomes family about “the decisions that I made.”
“That’s a lot of history and friendship there; that doesn’t change overnight,” she said. “But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is. The love is still there.”
At the height of Nicole’s relationship timeline with Kelce, she posted an open letter on Instagram expressing her thoughts.
“Black girl […] you don’t have to participate in this tumultuous, often one-sided journey. Preserve your heart. Even when they try to quantify your character and test your boundaries, you do not have to engage,” she said. “You do not have to respond because there is power in your silence, and you can use that same power to silence the noise and the self-doubt. Silence the voices within that want you to give in to this demoralizing and antiquated narrative.”
