‘Anonymous Email’ Secret Santa Exchange Gone Wrong: ‘Was This An Assassination Attempt?’

I really don’t think it was on purpose

With the holidays drawing closer, there are abound to be loads of Secret Santa gift exchanges going on all over the place. Most of the time, there’s nothing too out of the ordinary about them, but this specific case will be one that TikTok user _abihtx will probably never forget. It seems others thought it was “unforgettable” too, since it was posted on Reddit as well.

An unforgettable Secret Santa gift…
byu/milktest inTikTokCringe

This woman took to TikTok to share her recent Secret Santa horror stories, and the more she explains, the worse it gets. She starts out by talking about how she will never do another Secret Santa gift exchange in her place of employment again, and for good reason.

She received an “anonymous email” from a coworker that asked her if she had any allergies, to which she responded saying that pecans and walnuts were definitely not okay. Once it comes time for the gift exchange, she opens up a pecan pie, and her initial thought is “B*tch, are you trying to kill me? Was this an assassination attempt?“

I immediately hopped down into the comments knowing I wouldn’t be disappointed. The first few comments are entirely on her side, telling her to “Absolutely go to hr” and “Report them.” Some even told her to skip hr and “go straight for the employment lawyer.” Some, however, decided to joke about it. One comment reads “Submit a photo of yourself lying on your couch with arm stretched out to the photoshop community, asking them make you look like you’re in ER with an IV in your arm and having a major allergic reaction. Then email the anonymous person the photo with a “Thanks!!””

Another said, ““What’s the nature of your emergency” “My coworker sent me a pecan pie” I mean yeah it’s kinda sh*tty but wtf is the police suppose to do. It’s not secretly made with pecans it’s a straight up pie that visibly has pecans on like 95% of the surface.” The situation is pretty serious, but in all honesty, it was probably just miscommunication that caused the mishap.

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
