Parents Get Tired of Noisy Children, So They Start Acting as Such: ‘Look How The Kids Take On a Parenting Role’

Everyone wants to do that some times

One of the biggest challenges that come along with the holidays is surviving the chaos that comes with having so many people together in one place. Yet, the challenge is intensified by having children, even more so if they are many and of varying ages. Adults always have to maneuver through the preparations and keep the kids safe and entertained, although the younger ones are often uncooperative. After so much chaos, these parents on Reddit decided to act like noisy children to teach their kids a valuable lesson. The younger members of this family definitely are not the same after this lesson.

It all starts with this Reddit video in which the adults act without any control but mostly imitate the most erratic behaviors of children. We see the classic pair fighting to use a game, another running frenetically all over the place, or the unmissable kid crying out of nowhere. All this is a strategy of the grown-ups so that the little ones know what it is like to deal with them when they are doing their mischief and how difficult it is to control them. The plan was so successful that the kids ended up entirely still and quiet on the couch.

This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Look how the kids immediately take on a parenting role.

The dog is like…what the f***

If you are wondering if this works, this Redditor also shares his own experience as a child.

I remember my mom used to fake cry whenever I cried (but louder and more obnoxiously).
That shut me up quick.
It still brings me anger many decades later.
But I have to give it to her. It worked on me 😔

You can always try a technique like these Reddit parents if you find it impossible to control the horde of children acting noisy in your house this holiday season. Use it at your own risk because, according to some posts, some kids think adults who act like this are weird, or you might make them laugh more, and they might end up joining the chaos. Either way, enjoying the family moments is the most important thing, and chaos shouldn’t matter.
