The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues, earlier this year. Now, Gomez is following suit. She and her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, announced their engagement in late 2024. While the bad blood between the two couples is said to be at a minimum, that doesn’t mean that the Biebers will be getting a wedding invite.
According to the January 6 edition of Star Magazine, Selena Gomez has no plans to invite Justin Bieber to her wedding. Even though Justin’s wife, Hailey Bieber, took a huge step and liked her social media engagement announcement, the couples aren’t that close. Sources tell the outlet that Gomez wants Bieber to keep his distance when it comes to her special day. It’s not because of what happened in the past, it’s just that the actress/singer is ready to look forward with Benny Blanco.
“She wishes Hailey and Justin a happy life, and she was touched that Hailey liked the announcement,” an insider tells the outlet. “There’s no way on earth she’d invite Justin to the wedding. She doesn’t want to look back. Selena’s in a totally peaceful frame of mind.”
Of course, fans are in agreement. They recently revealed that they were thrilled for Gomez and Blanco.

“She wants JB to stay far away. She’s finally happy,” one person wrote via Reddit.
“I’m so freakin happy for Sel. She so deserves to be happy and loved,” another said.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez first began dating in 2010. They kept the young romance a secret until finally going public in 2011, per Vogue. The two went official at an Oscars party. However, the following year, they split. This led to fans buzzing about their lyrics and social media posts.
Bieber then went on a downward spiral as he was rumored to have gotten into a fistfight with actor Orlando Bloom in 2014. He was also arrested for drinking and driving. He was accused of vandalism the same year. For her part, Gomez check into rehab for her battle with Lupus.
After years of speculation, Bieber and Gomez got back together in 2017. They were seen in public together and even kissing. However, months later, the pair called it quits for good. Less than a year later, the singer married Hailey and the two haven’t looked back.
Meanwhile, Selena’s path to Benny was also a bit rocky. She was romantically linked to men such as Zedd, The Weeknd, Nick Jonas, Orlando Bloom, Charlie Puth, and more.
It seems that now Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have both found their happy endings. Things are good for both of them, and their relationship is fully in the past. While Justin and Hailey reportedly won’t be invited to the wedding ceremony, perhaps they’ll send the couple a gift.
