The Emanator of Erudition finally revealed herself with the release of Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0. If you plan to obtain Herta, you can use this build to make her your best Ice DPS unit. She excels in various end-game modes and can even trigger an Action Advance after using her Ultimate. Herta undoubtedly surpasses Jingliu, claiming the title of the best Ice DPS in Honkai: Star Rail. Unlike Acheron, who has a complicated kit, she is very easy to use.
Best Light Cone for The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail
You’re looking for Light Cones that can increase Herta’s CRIT Rate in Honkai: Star Rail. As usual, aim for at least a 50 percent CRIT Rate and close to 100 percent CRIT DMG. Herta’s signature Light Cone is the best option for her build, but there are other viable alternatives for F2P players.

Best Relic Sets
There are two Relic sets you can use for Herta in this build: Scholar Lost in Erudition or Hunter of Glacial Forest. Personally, I prefer Scholar Lost in Erudition because it increases her CRIT Rate as well as the DMG of her Skill and Ultimate. However, Hunter of Glacial Forest is another solid option if you want to boost her Ice DMG.
For her Planar Ornaments, you can equip either Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm or Rutilant Arena. The first set is better if you plan to use another Erudition character on your team, while Rutilant Arena is a good option if you simply want to increase her CRIT Rate further.

Best Team Comps for The Herta
Herta is a powerful Ice DPS who works best when paired with another Erudition character. Thankfully, there are some decent F2P options if you don’t have any 5-star characters besides her. Here are my recommendations:

Jade is currently the best teammate for Herta due to her kit, which helps generate Energy for the Emanator. However, you can also use the 4-star Herta, though she won’t be as effective as Jade. While Jade can consistently provide stacks for Herta, the 4-star Herta’s follow-up attack will only provide one stack.
For her support units, you can choose Remembrance Trailblazer, Robin, or Sunday. Remembrance Trailblazer is the easiest to obtain since they are unlocked for free. Robin and Sunday, however, are among the best support units in the game. Sunday focuses on boosting Herta exclusively, while Robin provides team-wide buffs.
Aventurine and Lingsha are the best sustainers for your Herta team, and you can choose either one based on your needs. If you don’t have them, Gallagher is a great alternative, as he’s still the best 4-star healer in the game.
