It Was All a Ruse! Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Goes Out With an Eye-Rolling Plot Twist

What’s the point of calling the game like that, then?

News about the eventual burying of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League didn’t really shock anyone. I won’t go into detail about the long, or rather, short story behind this attempt at a live service game because, let’s face it, everyone knows about it already. However, the one thing that has shocked everyone is how the ending of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 5 just defeated the game’s identity and the probable one thing that sounded exciting for this train wreck.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Reveals All the Heroes Who Died Were Clones, Except for One

Suicide Squad - Ending Cutscenes

First and foremost, the one who truly bit the dust was Wonder Woman. She’s officially gone and won’t come back unless there is another facepalm-inducing plot twist in the future. Now, on to what matters. Season 5, the final major update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, revealed through its ending that every hero they “killed” was just an evil clone. You can watch the cutscenes up there, thanks to the Batman Arkham Videos channel. That’s right. Batman, Superman, and everyone else (except for Wonder Woman) are still somewhere out there, which means the ArkhamVerse is still alive. I’m not really sure if I should feel excited about it, but the truth is, this ending just defeated the game’s identity in the worst possible way.

In the end, the Suicide Squad didn’t do any killing. It was all part of an elaborate plan, and the actual Justice League arrived to save the day. Well, not all of them, because remember, Princess Diana bit the dust. And then again, she doesn’t even die at the hands of the Suicide Squad, Superman, I mean, evil clone Superman is the one who does the killing, so our eclectic group of anti-heroes was just sidelined because it was Batman’s plan all along.

Ultimately, we should look at the bright side. The ArkhamVerse is alive! Even if it sounds a bit bittersweet at the moment. Frankly, many feel this game deserved better. The characters were good, and the combat was fun, but there was nothing else really, and the GAAS model just didn’t help. If the ArkhamVerse really continues, we just hope it returns to its roots.
