If there’s one studio we can always count on making a video game banger, it is Owlcat Games. Even if it’s a slow and steady race with patches, bug fixes, and amazing DLC, any game that Owlcat touches ends up being fantastic and well-received by fans. Recently, the studio announced that Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, its latest CRPG, has reached a new sales milestone. And if history has taught us anything is that Rogue Trader will keep growing, and many of us will be ready to see what awaits us in the Koronus Expanse.
Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader Has Sold 1 Million Copies
Announced through the studio’s official X account, Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader joins the 1 million club as its sales have reached that milestone. This is a huge achievement for the game, which already had its one-year anniversary last month. Furthermore, the game’s first DLC, Void Shadows, is sitting at Very Positive reviews on Steam, showing again the high-quality content that Owlcat is always launching for its games.
Even if the game launched with a few rough edges as we mentioned in our review, the 100-hour journey is one of the most entertaining the studio has put together in recent years. Plus, some of the free updates that have accompanied Rogue Trader have brought a lot of improvements, such as revamped cutscenes and a plethora of fixes to the game.
With the 1 million copies sold, we can expect Rogue Trader to get even more content in the future. Right now, we have the first DLC, but according to the season pass, the Lex Imperialis DLC is coming in the Spring of 2025, so that’s something to look forward to. Hopefully, the studio will update the game the same way as it did to its previous Pathfinder titles. Who knows? Maybe we’ll get a GOTY edition for Rogue Trader one day, similar to that of Wrath of the Righteous.
