A video is going viral on Reddit of a half-naked guy running down the steep seating at Red Rocks Park, Colorado… backwards! As Ozzy Man might say, there’s a fine line between “Destination Perfect” and “Destination F*****.” Somehow, this guy, wearing only boxer shorts and with his dog in tow, manages to run backward down the seating without killing himself.
The Red Rocks Park amphitheatre is an awesome place, cut into the imposing mountainside and making a fantastic place to enjoy concerts. But, when there isn’t a performance going on, what is there to do? Well, if you’re “lucky”, you might catch this guy performing his party trick.
The OP filmed the man, who is wearing only boxer shorts and sneakers, running full tilt down the amphitheatre seating, as bemused onlookers watch on. There’s even a little snow there, so you just know it’s cold. That doesn’t stop the guy being half-naked, though.
Running down the steep tiers would be impressive enough, if of questionable sense. But, somehow, the guy manages to do it backward. With frankly impressive composure and skill, he takes long strides down the tiers, until he gets near the bottom and swivels to run down forward. For added cuteness, the guy’s dog bounds after him.
I must admit, the guy’s skill impresses me. Red Rocks Park amphitheatre seating is extremely steep. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to run down forward, let alone backward. I can’t help but wonder how many injuries he sustained practicing the stunt.
Reddit, however, was less impressed. One commenter rather uncharitably quipped, “More balls than brains.” Others questioned why the guy is so desperate for attention. Apparently, though, he’s a regular. “This guy and others are regulars there, like daily,” one Redditor pointed out. Another user confirmed that “this guy is out there all the time.” He must be, frankly, to be good enough to pull this off without breaking his neck.
A few others users harshly hoped to see the guy trip wipe himself out. At Red Rocks Park, though, I dread to think what the consequence would be. Probably more than a few bumps and bruises. Some Redditors thought it’s just a matter of time. As one commenter put it, “Works every time but one.” Indeed.
