Near the end of the game, our team of heroes finds themselves trapped in a siege. Although they have a great castle protecting them from the forces of Prague, the enemy refuses to back down. Things have become dire, and Zizka plans to send a group of men to raid the enemy camp in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Besieged quest. This is an incredibly risky mission with a high chance of death. Henry, who has become the captain of a group of soldiers, must decide which of his men to send.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Besieged Quest Guide
You can start the Besieged quest by speaking to Zizka in the castle. During the meeting, he’ll bring up his latest plan to raid the enemy’s supplies in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. In addition to ordering Henry to choose three men to participate, he’ll also need Henry to help the Dry Devil interrogate a prisoner.
The man is already wounded, so you need to be careful if you decide to torture him. Next to the prison entrance, you can speak with the Dry Devil. Choose the following dialogue options:
- Ask about weaknesses in their camp.
- My men are going out too. I agree.
You will then enter the prison, where you will come face-to-face with the enemy soldier. He wonโt be willing to talk, so youโll need to “convince” him.
- Hit him.
- Where are your supplies?
- (Change subject)
- Is Markvart still commanding the troops?
- I have some really big tongs here.
- Will Markvart survive?
Choosing these options should make the prisoner spill all the information he knows. If you fail the skill check, you can try another option. However, remember not to accidentally kill him.
Who To Choose for Raid in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
After obtaining information from the prisoner, you can head out to find your men. You will need to pick three guys to join the raid in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Technically, you can select any one of your soldiers, but here’s my pick:
- Janek of Skalitz
- Jaroslav of Skalitz
- Huntsman Debrosh Pecker
You may also choose Kubyenka and Samuel. These two are important characters, so it’s unlikely they will die during the raid. However, I don’t recommend sending Knacker Wolframโhe isn’t skilled in combat and will likely not survive.
Complete the Raid
Once you’ve selected your men for the raid, head to the southern wall and speak with Hans. Before triggering the next step of the Besieged quest, make sure to equip a ranged weapon. I recommend using a bow instead of a crossbow, as it allows you to shoot multiple enemies quickly. While a crossbow is powerful, its slower firing rate makes it less effective for this mission.
At the start of the fight, head to the right to take out the ranged enemies on the ground. There are about five of them, all equipped with guns. These enemies pose a serious threat to your men below, so you must eliminate them quickly. Afterward, another wave of enemies will appear from the left sideโthis time, a group of pavisiers. Some will be hiding behind shields. Ignore them and focus on the ones standing upright.
After you’ve killed enough enemies, a cutscene will trigger, showing your men making their way back to the castle. The number of survivors depends on how well you performed during the raid shooting section. In my playthrough, all three of my men returned alive. Unfortunately, it seems Hans’ men didn’t survive the encounter.
