Trump and Musk, along with many of their supporters, have been frantically obsessed with targeting the transgender community in every way possible. However, a Texas state employee has now been caught in the crossfire despite identifying as a cisgender male and going by he/him pronouns. Despite being told not to, 31-year-old program manager Frank Zamora used he/him in his signature for work emails. He was told to desist the habit or face the consequences of termination; he chose the latter.
“I made the stand that I felt was right,” Zamora told The Guardian. He went on to explain how “pronouns are grammar” and an essential “function of almost every sentence that we speak.” The wrongfully fired Texan then stated that no one from the LGBTQIA+ community “deserves to be made political collateral or to be put on the chopping block.” Unfortunately, political collateral was what Zamora was forced to become as Texas governor Greg Abbott posted on X, making an example of the ex-program manager and celebrating his termination.
Among the hundred jeering comments supporting Zamora losing his job was none other than Trump’s right-hand man, Elon Musk, who replied to Abbott with “๐ฅ๐ฅ.” Since Trump’s arrival in office, the Conservative fanatics running the government have been hard at work stomping out anyone who opposes their radical views. Texas Governor Abbott is among these extremists, as he too is in favor of rejecting “woke gender ideologies.” While his echo chamber on X might be in overwhelming support of Zamora’s termination, plenty of other online users claim the firing was unlawful and absurd.
“Someone’s about to receive a nice payout for wrongful termination,” remarks a Redditor while linking to a site about Texas law that states “it is illegal to fire someone in the state of Texas for how they identify their gender.” “He made them think about pronouns for longer than half a second, obviously a literal monster /s,” jokes a top commenter. “It’s not actually possible to appease those morons,” chimes in another.
Several more went on to slam Abbott and criticize such Conservatives for their radical views. “Conservatives are the biggest b****es,” complains a user. “Imagine being a conservative and being afraid of pronouns.. these dips***s also think pronouns only mean gender,” mocks a second. From their actions, it’s clear that Musk, Abbott, and anyone like them are “terrified of trans people, a demographic that makes up less than 1% of Americans.” And they will go to any lengths to spread hatred on a socially oppressed demographic, even if it means ‘friendly fire’ on CIS individuals like Zamora.
