Anti-Tesla protesters in Texas experienced a confusing counterprotest. As more anti-Tesla opposition movements spring up across the nation, protesters took to Woodland, Texas, streets to speak up against Elon Musk. However, the rally took an unexpected turn when a man who wasn’t part of the group caused chaos with his meltdown.
The outburst was captured in a now-trending two-minute clip on Reddit. In the video, a young man who only wore black sweats, without a shirt, went out of control and lashed at the demonstrators. Visibly angry, the man yelled at the crowd, who were holding signs that read, “No Nazis in Texas.”
One man from the group spoke to the shirtless dude, asking him to express what he was angry about calmly. However, the bare-chested disruptor persistently dismissed him, telling the crowd to get out of his face. Another protester told the berzerk man that the activists were exercising their free speech. In response, the wild dude said he was also exercising free speech. “Me too!” he yelled. “I’m exercising my free speech too. How about you holding up traffic? Holding up Nazi signs?“
The hysteric man continued his rant, accusing the group of supporting the Nazis with the signboards. “Where are the Nazis? You guys are the Nazis,” he raged. In unison, the group defended themselves, futilely explaining they were indeed against the Nazis.
Again, one of the protesters attempted to talk the man out of his anger. However, this only triggered him further. “Get out of my face!” He further yelled, “Fuck you! And f*ck Biden! F*ck democrats. You guys ruined my country,” he yelled. The man also shared his displeasure about the country being divided because of Republicans and Democrats.
His complaints about Democrats and Republicans led a female protester in the crowd to call him “unhinged.” Defensively, the dude said, “I’m not unhinged because if I were unhinged, you guys would have been hurt.”
Reddit users were quick to analyze the unhinged man’s actions. One user commented, “This guy has no idea what he’s mad about. The anger in the US is building all the time. I can see it and feel it!”
A second netizen agreed, writing, “He seriously has no idea what this protest is about. It’s comical and very sad. He’d be protesting with them if he had a clue. He is anti-nazi and fascist ironically.”
Another user expressed, “It’s a class war, not a cultural war. The anger building is from the wealthy extracting 50 trillion dollars from the working class in the last half-century.”
Another Redditor described the man as the “most ideologically confused person,” but another user disagreed, writing:
“No, he’s a conservative who literally can’t argue because conservatives don’t represent anything but the rich and use every lie in the book to do it.”
