4 Yakuza Games & Monster Hunter Rise Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass this Month; Replaced By Some Classic Gems

If you’ve been delaying Yakuza, you have a busy few weeks ahead.

Microsoft has announced all the games joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup in March, but for the first time in a long while, the games leaving the service are a far bigger blow than the ones being added. Multiple amazing Yakuza games are going by the wayside, so this is your last chance to catch up on the story of Kazuma Kiryu before he gets locked behind a paywall.

The second biggest loss is the removal of Monster Hunter Rise. While it isn’t as popular as its successor, Monster Hunter Wilds, it still has thousands of players in it while they wait to get into the sequel.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in March

  • MLB The Show 24 (Cloud and Console)
  • Lil Gator Game (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Open Roads (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Yakuza 0 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Yakuza Kiwami (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Yakuza Like a Dragon (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Lamplighter’s League (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Monster Hunter Rise (Cloud, Console, and PC)

On the other hand, the games joining Xbox Game Pass in March should give some classic gamers a lot of mileage. These include, but are not limited to, Octopath Traveller II, Atomfall, and the Blizzard Arcade Collection. The latter includes The Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing, and the criminally underrated Blackthorne (tank tops, blue jeans, and sunglasses at night used to be cool back then, okay?).

Here is the complete list of titles coming to Game Pass

  • 33 Immortals (Game Preview Only) (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S)
  • Octopath Traveler II (Series X|S) – March 19 available now with Game Pass Standard
  • Train Sim World 5 (Console) – March 19 available now with Game Pass Standard
  • Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island (Cloud, Console, and PC) – March 20 on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, Game Pass Standard
  • Blizzard Arcade Collection (Console and PC) – March 25 on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, Game Pass Standard
  • Atomfall (Cloud, Console, and PC) – March 27 on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

If you were on the fence about giving 33 Immortals a chance, now is your opportunity to give it a go before taking the plunge.
