An Indiana woman named Sheryl Pol passed away on February 21, and her obituary has since gone viral. The 77-year-old was obviously beloved by many and had a strong energy judging from the final words written about her life. Thanks to Pol’s daughter, Jennifer Bailey, thousands of people are now learning about Sheryl and mourning her death and it’s all due to her hilarious obituary, which earned high praise on social media platforms such as TikTok.

In Sheryl Pol’s obituary, her daughter wrote about her love for many things, including leftovers, embroidery, her grandchildren, and baking. She also loved playing games such as Uno and Dominoes. The write-up even revealed that Sheryl’s goal was to “knock” her friend Ella “down a few pegs” when it came to their game competitions. However, the Indiana woman’s obituary didn’t stop there (via The Daily Mail).

“In lieu of flowers, please flirt with a stranger much younger than yourself,’ the obit read. “Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services to help Nana achieve her lifelong dream of having a ‘smokin’ hot body,'” the statement continued. “‘Sheryl posthumously apologizes to Joann’s Fabric for her recent lack of shopping which likely led to their nationwide closure.”

The obituary caught the attention of TikTok creator, who made a video about Sheryl Pol’s life and the humor she found in the write-up. “An icon has left us,” said the social media user. The video quickly began to pick up traction and strike a chord in many viewers. It currently has nearly 500,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments.

“I hope to live a life where this is my obituary. What a legend! This was written by someone who truly loved her,” a fifth comment read.
