Unfortunately, the state of the world is very different than it was several years ago. With Donald Trump in office as the President of the United States, prices have gone up in various sectors, and people are finding it more and more challenging to live every day. One of the most stressful factors in many people’s lives is their healthcare. You’ll see people neglect entirely caring for themselves because it costs too much. That’s what happened to one South Carolina mom when she told her college student daughter that she wouldn’t be able to afford her medication.

even with a coupon from her doctor it was still expensive. The pharmacist looked so sad telling us like what the fuck is happening?!??!? Anyone and everyone deserves FREE AND NOT EXPENSIVE HEALTHCARE

The above video is from the point of view of the woman’s college student daughter, who explains to her followers exactly why she’s crying on camera. Her mother had gone to CVS to pick up her insulin, a required medication for those suffering from diabetes, only to find out that it had risen in price to nearly $2,000. Despite receiving a coupon from her doctor, the medication was still well out of her price range. So, instead of paying for it, she didn’t and doesn’t expect to take it when her next dose rolls around.

“Trump literally did this. He undid Biden price cap for those meds.”

For those who are unaware, diabetes is a health condition that, if left untreated, can be fatal. Very few medications can help with diabetes, and those that do require to be taken at particular times of the day. So, to say that she won’t take her medication is almost outrageous. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have much of a choice.

Hopefully, the woman can find a solution to the expense of her medication because, realistically, without it, she will be incredibly uncomfortable. Here’s to hoping that the state of medication will change for the better sooner rather than later.
