Arizona State Rep is Proud of Snow White Producer’s Son for Slamming Pro-Palestine Rachel Zegler: ‘We Love Jew’

Who’d have thought a kids’ movie would make a political tangle this convoluted?

Disney‘s live-action remake of Snow White has certainly drawn much controversy due to many factors. However, it appears the Snow White producer’s son, Jonah Platt, has blamed the lead actress, Rachel Zegler, for the film’s poor box office performance. To add to the mess, Arizona’s state representative supports Jonah Platt for dragging Rachel Zegler’s name.

The incident took place on X/Twitter soon after news outlets picked up Jonah Platt’s tirade against Rachel Zegler. Apparently, Jonah Platt thinks the Snow White actress is immature after she announced her pro-Palestine sentiments online. This anti-genocide stance, according to Platt, is what caused Snow White to fail.

Meanwhile, Arizona State Representative Alma Hernandez of the Democratic Party has rallied in support of Jonah Platt, tagging him on X/Twitter and saying she is proud of Platt’s family.

Platt responded with three heart emojis, and Alma Hernandez even doubled down by replying, “We love jew”. Afterward, Alma Hernandez even posted a photo of herself with the flag of Israel on her official X account. Rep. Alma Hernandez and Jacob Platt’s interaction on X has since drawn the attention of critics, who mock them for their interaction on X.

As for Jonah Platt, his criticisms against Rachel Zegler have also drawn the ire of many people online. Some have even pointed out that Jonah Platt might have been using the Rachel Zegler controversy to boost his own fame. Others have accused Jonah Platt of being a “textbook definition of a nepo baby,” according to a Redditor.

What did Rachel Zegler do?

As for what exactly led to this kind of political tangle and online drama between celebrities and politicians, Rachel Zegler vocalized her support for Palestine in the ongoing Israel-Palestine War. The actress did this even as early as the teasers for the Disney remake.

Disney’s executives have since worried that this move from Zegler could alienate fans, and Marc Platt, one of Snow White‘s producers, even personally traveled to New York to talk to Rachel Zegler. Zegler, however, stood firm on her pro-Palestine stance. Oddly enough, Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen role in Snow White, is pro-Israel.

Regardless of their stances, it appears the Snow White remake is on track to be a box office bomb and could quite possibly become the worst-performing live-action Disney adaptation. Disney executives and producers are no doubt looking for who or what to blame for the matter.
