Washington Troll Fools Tesla Dealership in Ruthless Cybertruck Hoax: ‘You can see him dying a bit inside as he realizes’

The Tesla Cybertruck has been the subject of controversy and satire since its reveal, but one Washington man took his critique to the next level. In a now-viral video, Instagram user @Halliburton_Drum_Cycle (known as Bradimal on Reddit) walked into a Tesla dealership in Seattle, posing as an eager buyer, only to execute a brutal troll job on both the sales staff and the company itself.

The video opens with Brad confidently entering the showroom, where he expresses a sudden interest in purchasing a Cybertruck. He claims he was inspired after seeing “our lord and king” Donald Trump standing on the White House front lawn, suggesting it would be a noble cause to support Tesla. The salesman, possibly sensing something was off, still plays along.

During the test ride, Brad ups the absurdity by referencing a fictional Elon Musk promise:

“Didn’t Elon say this thing could drive on water?”

The salesman responds, “We would have to improve the seals,” clearly trying to keep the conversation professional despite the ridiculous premise. The brief exchange is a masterclass in corporate restraint, as the salesman carefully avoids calling out the obvious trolling.

The highlight of the video, though, is when Brad sits at the dealership computer, seemingly ready to make a purchase. As the salesman scrolls through Cybertruck configurations, he asks, “Let’s see which one would suit you.”

Brad’s response?

“I think the one that would suit me is the one with the Swastika on the side.”

The salesman, caught completely off guard, bursts into nervous laughter. Just as he starts processing the situation, Brad drops the final hammer:

“I’m not buying this piece of shit. F** Elon Musk.”*

The laughter instantly vanishes from the salesman’s face as reality sinks in.

Internet Reacts: ‘What’s It Gonna Take to Get You Into This Swastikar Today?’

The video quickly found its way to Reddit, where users wasted no time roasting both Tesla and the awkward exchange. One top comment read:

“What’s it going to take to get you into this Swastikar today?”

Others mocked Tesla’s quality control issues, with one user joking:

“Slaps truck—metal panels fall off and internal wires disconnect.”

Many pointed out the salesman’s reaction, with one saying:

“You can see him laughing, then dying a bit inside as he realizes.”

Another added:

“Stopped laughing the exact moment ‘I’m not buying this’ was said. Play it in slow-mo—he thought he was closing a deal until that very moment.”

Brad himself even chimed in on the Reddit thread, clarifying:

“The salesman getting paid regardless, they don’t work off commission. Just wasting Elon’s money.”

With recent allegations of labor issues, declining vehicle quality, and Musk’s increasingly polarizing online presence, Tesla has become a ripe target for satire.

This viral reaction is a reflection of a growing backlash against Musk and his brand. Whether you find Brad’s stunt hilarious or cringeworthy, he knew exactly how to take the Cybertruck for a ride without ever spending a dime.
