An Accident in South Jordan, Utah, Became a Misleading PR Campaign for Tesla: ‘Teslas Have the Highest Fatality Rate of Any Manufacturer’

I don’t think it’s really that safe

We know there are all kinds of news about Tesla and Cybertrucks going around, basically everywhere. However, beyond the protests, there are several news reports of serious incidents involving Tesla’s cars with damage, mostly beyond repair. For example, this particular accident on social media involving a Cybertruck in South Jordan, Utah, looks like a Tesla PR campaign. It’s not just about the accident, but it’s very suspicious that so many people are talking and saying the same positive things about the Cybertruck.

You know damn well the cop didn't say that….

Redditor xStonebanksx shared on r/CyberStuck a post they found on Facebook, although OP focused more on the news. The main point of the post is that a car T-boned a Cybertruck at a speed of 60 miles, but the driver of the Tesla and their 5-year-old daughter survived. According to the owner of the Cybertruck, the police officer in charge of the incident said something like, “If you had been in another vehicle,” which the driver understood as an excuse to buy another Tesla. However, from the images, the Cybertruck does not seem to have withstood the impact well.

Teslas have the highest fatality rate of any manufacturer. If you hate your family, buy a Tesla.

The strange thing is that the images show that the accident was in South Jordan, Utah, but thousands of Facebook posts are in a campaign to promote Tesla. Another Redditor even shared a video in which they screen recorded their cell phone to demonstrate the result of the Facebook search they did with a text to the “original” crash. In this screen record, only hundreds of similar posts with the same images but with different authors in different groups.

Interesting PR Campaign

Everyone believes that this is an obvious move by Tesla’s marketing department and that it must be a desperate attempt to “clear the name” of the brand. But every day, the videos and news about Tesla get wilder and wilder.
