Earlier this week, a father and son almost lost their lives on Wisconsin Avenue, Washington, D.C., thanks to the reckless actions of a Tesla Cybertruck driver. Details of the ghastly motor accident were shared in a gory Reddit post, and many are convinced that the person behind the wheel of the electric truck is a “sociopath.”
User @Due_Consideration283 shared photos of the crash. A grey Acura sedan vehicle looked almost completely totaled, with the back seat crushed. It looked like a folded tin foil. The two airbags in front were deployed, proving the car was being driven when the collision happened. The salon vehicle clearly changed trajectory to collide with a pole, causing the front bumper to fall apart. While the Acura barely made it, the Cybertruck didn’t suffer a similar impact. The monster truck endured some damage to the right front bumper area and broken headlights. Apart from that, it looked in a good shape.
“Speeding Cybertruck Destroys Car on Wisconsin Avenue,” the Reddit post was captioned. Soon enough, netizens sought details, wondering how fast the Cybertruck was driving to cause such an impact.
“Was there when it happened. It was a young driver and his dad,” one Internet user provided context. “Thankfully, they were both ok!! The Tesla driver also ok but was speeding like crazy.” The commenter further added that he “didn’t even go over to the people he smashed into to check if they were ok.” Soon enough, the wife of the victim gave more details of the accident.
“So this was my husband’s car, an Acura ILX, with my husband and son in it,” she wrote. “They were making a left turn (at a slow speed) near Pete’s Apizza at Wisconsin and Fessenden that was nearly complete when the cyber truck decided to weave around the car in front of him and pull out at high speed, crashing into and spinning the Acura around in the intersection.”
She continued, “It didn’t even stop until Rodman’s, when it seems to have decided it had better check they were still alive. Hubs says they were ‘cyber attacked.'” Luckily, the woman confirmed that her husband and son are in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. They, however, suffered some glass cuts and are being watched for any internal complications.
More context provided further enraged netizens, who slammed the Tesla driver for endangering lives. “Wow, I’m so shocked that the man behind the wheel of a Cybertruck turned out to be an a**hole,” a sarcastic comment read.
“Should be charged with a hate crime since they used a swatzicar to do it,” another remark read. It is unsure if any charges have been filed against the Cybertruck driver but safe driving cannot be overemphasized.
