After breaking all your lockpicks too many times, the frustration of not being able to find more is very real. Lockpicks are incredibly easy to come by until you actually need them. However, with the Skeleton Key, you can unlock just about every door and locked chest you come across in Oblivion Remastered. However, it takes a little while to get, so the following is everything you need to know about how to get the Skeleton Key in Oblivion Remastered.
Where to Find the Skeleton Key in Oblivion Remastered

First off, you need to be at level 10 to begin working toward getting the Skeleton Key. You need to obtain a quest titled ‘Nocturnal,’ which can be obtained at the Shrine of Nocturnal just north of Leyawiin.
When you arrive, speak with Mor gra-Gamorn. Tell him that you’d like to speak with Nocturnal, and assuming you don’t need to complete the persuasion mini-game, he’ll allow you. Approach the Shrine of Nocturnal and speak to it. It will tell you that its Eye of Nocturnal was stolen by two Argonians from Leyawiin. Unfortunately, she doesn’t give you a name. However, she wants you to speak specifically with Weebam-Na and Bejeen, located inside the former’s house.
Inside, speak with both Argonians and ask about the Eye of Nocturnal. They’ll deny everything, so you’ll need to sneak up on them to eavesdrop on their conversation, where they reveal the Eye of Nocturnal to be in Tidewater Cave, south of Leyawiin. After entering the cave, take out the trolls, bears, and wolves you find. There is a waypoint directly to the Eye of Nocturnal, which is, oddly enough, just above an underwater chest. If you have the Fin Gleam, this would be a great time to use it.
Now that you have the Eye of Nocturnal, return to the Shrine and speak with Nocturnal, who will thank you and aware you with the Skeleton Key.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
