Miranda Lambert’s Collaboration With A Singer Is Called ‘Legendary’ By Some But Not Everyone Agrees

These Texans have our attention!

Miranda Lambert has had many successful collaborations, including songs with Carrie Underwood and Elle King. She recently sang a song with Hudson Westbrook, but the reviews were mixed.

The two stars joining forces makes a lot of sense from a musical standpoint, but they also share similarities, most notably that they are both proud Texans. In 2024, Westbrook released the track “House Again,” but in May 2025, it got an update when he brought Lambert on board to sing a duet. They posted their collaboration on Instagram with a video showing them singing. In the video’s caption, Westbrook shared his excitement, writing, “It felt too right not to do this together. ‘House Again’ ft Miranda Lambert out now! #TexasForever.”

Some people think Lambert and Westbrook’s voices sound incredible and praised the collaboration. Comments include “Her vocals on this are so good!! Love the way they sound together,” and “This is legendary.” There have also been comments about how both of them being from Texas makes the song hit differently. “A little Texas Two Pack kind of release,” a fan shared.

It’s clear that a lot of fans are onboard with this collaboration, and there have even been requests for merch in the comment section. Great feedback is fantastic for the singers; they may release more music together. But it’s not all good news because some don’t believe this match was made in heaven. A handful of fans have remarked that Westbrook and Lambert’s voices don’t work well together. “The result is ‘strain’ more than harmonious……maybe the super-fan will be on board, but I doubt this one is going anywhere,” a comment reads.

Lambert has previously discussed working with other artists, including partnering with Big Loud Records to launch Big Loud Texas. This collaboration has been an opportunity for Lambert to help emerging artists. “I’m so excited about it. It has been really cool to get to work on that side of it, and to start being able to use the 20-something years of experience I have to help other artists and be a mentor,” she told Nashville Lifestyles in 2024. “I’m there for them on whatever level they need me to be, and it’s fun to see the excitement in some of these younger artists and just be a part of the beginning of their journey.”

Lambert released her first album, Kerosene, in 2005. In comparison, Westbrook released his first album in 2024 (but he has thus far enjoyed a meteoric rise to success). What do you think of Miranda Lambert and Hudson Westbrook’s collaboration? Did her inclusion elevate the song, or should it have been left alone?
