A shocking video showing a swarm of youths intentionally ramming their car into a jewelry store in Modesto, California before robbing the establishment is circulating online. According to Modesto Police Department, the incident occurred at Sai Jewelers along Standiford Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday. So far, four arrests have been made in connection with the robbery, including three Bay Area men — Oakland residents Nasir Blocker, 19, and Anton Crawford, 24, and El Cerrito resident Gangster Lawson, 24. A fourth person has also been identified as Nehemiah Miller, 21, of Valley Springs in Calaveras County.

Security video shows more than a dozen suspects pouring into a jewelry store in Modesto, California, after crashing a car through the business’s entrance. Modesto police say four suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the large-scale smash-and-grab robbery, which happened at Sai Jewelers around 6 p.m. Sunday and was over in a matter of seconds. While those four arrests were made, Modesto police said they are actively searching for other suspects connected to the jewelry store robbery.

The one-minute snippet of footage is captured by the on-site security cameras, and sees a stolen red vehicle deliberately ram into the jewelry store’s security doors, exposing a way inside. A group of youths get out of said vehicle, before heading inside to ransack the store of valuable items. Not only that, but another group of youths arrive on the scene soon after, all donned in black and wearing balaclavas, and they also proceed to rob the store.

Eagle-eyed viewers may spot some laughably comical slapstick gaffes during the robbery. Firstly, the driver of the stolen vehicle crashes at such an angle that he can’t actually open his door and get out of the car to join his cohort robbing the jewelry store. In addition, one of the robbers actually slips up on the floor during all the commotion.

Of course, social media users couldn’t resist chiming in with their thoughts and reactions to the dramatic clip. One Redditor was amused by how amateurish the robbers were, writing, “How many f*cking people did they need? Cars just kept on showing up. And the dude falling on his ass.” A second commenter added, “That wasn’t just a smash. That was a swarm, they came from all directions. Crazy.” A further user penned, “Love the guy in the car who can’t get out. Lol. Not the smartest dudes around.”

The four men who have been arrested face charges of robbery, vehicle theft, and conspiracy, according to police. While these four arrests were made, Modesto police said it is still actively searching for other suspects connected to the jewelry store robbery.
