Many people are proud of their cities, and one Californian woman wants to set the record straight about what people say about Los Angeles. Do you think it’s not a good city to live in? Do you have a problem with the crime or the politics? Sometimes, hearing negative things about where you live gets to be too much, and TikTok is reacting!
TikToker npcomedyistaken has a simple message folks need to hear: If you don’t like LA, get out. She captioned her post, “You just wouldn’t understand.” But what is she referring to?
Woman Tells People Who Don’t Like Los Angeles Just How Wrong They Are
She posted a short clip of herself addressing the chatter about how “Los Angeles is awful.” Countering this argument, she revealed that there is nowhere else in the world where you can give blood and get a show simultaneously.
In response to people who say Los Angeles is horrible and that they wouldn’t live there, she said: “OK. Well, I just donated blood at a castle, where magicians did magic for me while I waited. I don’t want to hear that sh**-” She’s not joking either, as she revealed in the comments that this blood drive happens every two months, and you can find out more on the American Red Cross website.
Her video may be short, but her message is clear: If you don’t like Los Angeles, it’s time to find a new place to live. The post has attracted much attention and has over 49,000 likes. There are also many comments, with the most liked reaction reading, “I wish everyone who hated LA would leave and never come back so the rest of us can have peace.”
Other comments include, “Most ppl who complain about LA haven’t been past West Hollywood let alone East La,” “IKR I just moved downtown bc it was my childhood dream and I’m walking around like I’m the main character so can’t relate to the haters,” and “I’ve never understood the LA hate, there’s so much to do in LA. How can anyone possibly hate it? Lol.”
They all make compelling arguments for their city, but are they right? According to the Happy City Index, Los Angeles is rated number 70. It is behind many European, Australian, and Japanese cities. But also ranks lower than Salt Lake City, New York City, Washington, DC, and Minneapolis, to name a few. Happiness is relative, so make what you want from this.
If you’re from Los Angeles, let us know if you love or hate the city. After this video, we are curious!
