Animals often evoke a warm feeling in us, and we can be protective of them. However, one California Karen went too far after seeing a dog training in session.
The woman’s racial tirade was caught on camera and made the rounds on Instagram. The clip began with her saying “Arigato“, which translates to thank you in Japanese, in a mocking voice, probably insinuating that the person recording was of Asian identity.
In the video, the woman accused the trainers of abuse by “dragging the dogs downhill” with pool noodles. However, one of the trainers debunked the accusations, explaining to the lady that they were only training and didn’t want problems. In response, the California woman yelled, “Maybe you do that in Canada, but we don’t do that here!”
The canine experts soon became uneasy at the situation and asked the boomer to do whatever she wanted. The woman confirmed that she had called the authorities on them before yelling, “You guys are illegal.”
The group was shocked at the outburst and shouted at the boomer to let them be. Before the clip ended, details of the training, which the woman claimed was “abuse,” played out. As seen in the clip, a black German Shepherd was held on a leash by one expert. Another man wearing a bite sleeve played with pool noodles around the dog. At the man’s command, the canine friend bit the sleeve.
Several social media users reacted to the video, criticizing the California lady for her comments. One user commented, “I can see how someone who is uneducated on dog training can see this as abuse, but for her to resort to racism and anger is uncalled for. She should’ve asked questions instead of being a Karen.”
This netizen seemingly tagged the woman as part of the MAGA supporters, writing, “So anybody of color is illegal now!! These mega people are out of control!” A third observer pointed out one thing about all Karens. “All these people are the same. They can’t win an argument and then turn into a racist.”
A fourth netizen added, “Someone put a Muzzle on her.”
For anyone unaware, bite work training involves conditioning a dog to bite on command and in response to specific perceived threats. The practice is primarily used for guard dogs and dogs involved in canine sports. According to Doggos, the practice teaches dogs “impulse control, patience, focus,” and at the same time, offers a form of exercise.
As for this Karen, ignorance may be excusable, but coupled with racism, it becomes unacceptable.
