One of the most alluring aspects of any Mario Kart game is the plethora of goodies that usually hide behind certain game modes. One of the most famous modes and the one Mario Kart World players will want to try first is the Grand Prix, with its many cups and the unlocks they have. However, some racers wonder if racing through all these tracks is worth the effort, and if so, what’s waiting at the end of the Rainbow Road? Here we’ll tell you all about the things you can get after beating the game’s cups.

[Note: We’re still playing through every mode in the game, so we’ll update this guide accordingly.]

Mario Kart World changes the formula a bit and puts some of its unlocks behind many game modes, including the new open-world segment. However, we’ll focus on what you can obtain by playing through the Grand Prix mode.

  • Vehicles: It seems that you can unlock a new vehicle every time you earn 100 coins. The Grand Prix mode is an excellent way to obtain the aforementioned currency.
  • Rosalina: Complete the Star Cup.
  • Birdo: Complete the Banana Cup.
  • King Boo: Complete the Leaf Cup.
  • Lakitu: Complete the Shell Cup.
  • Daisy: Complete the Flower Cup.
  • Bowser Jr.: Complete the Lightning Cup.
  • Special Cup: Complete all Grand Prix cups in first place.

Is There a Reward After Beating All Grand Prix Cups?

It doesn’t seem to be the case at the time of writing. According to a video by YouTuber Sirloin, the only thing they obtained after beating all cups in Mario Kart World was the Pro Racer outfit for Waluigi. However, that might’ve happened because they used Waluigi for the Special Cup.

Also, the 200cc mode isn’t in the game yet. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the game’s producer, Kosuke Yabuki, mentioned there are no plans to add that mode right now. Still, we know that Mario Kart games have a long shelf life, so we might see it in the future, but at this moment, it hasn’t been confirmed.

As mentioned, we’re still looking for more unlocks inside the game, including its many modes and the open world part. If we find new ones, we’ll update this guide accordingly.
