Meghan Markle Shares Twerking Video With Pregnant Belly
On June 4, the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to share a dance video featuring her in a hospital, dancing alongside her husband, while heavily pregnant with Lilibet. The dance clip, shared in honor of her daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday, showed Meghan Markle in a black dress, dancing to The Baby Momma Dance by Starrkeisha and twerking with as much energy as her husband. She captioned,
“Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work, there was only one thing left to do!”
The twerking video became the second-most watched reel on her Instagram page within hours, with critics calling her out for the “disgraceful” and “cringeworthy” display. Many have accused Meghan Markle of sharing the twerking video in a weak attempt to quench the rumors of her fake pregnancy and allegations that she used a surrogate. However, the video seems to have had the opposite effect. Amid the backlash, eagle-eyed observers have pointed out some irregularities in Meghan’s pregnancy visible in the video, which seemingly proves the surrogacy rumors right.

These conspiracy theorists have cited the unusual size of the duchess’ baby bump, the uneven surface of he pregnant belly, and even the star’s ability to squat and twerk seamlessly in the dance clip. According to them, these only proved Meghan wore a “moonbump” underneath her maternity gown to look pregnant. Critics have since taken to Reddit to slam the mom of two for her supposedly desperate antics. One user fired,
“She really thought the Lilibet barrage was going to endear her to the public and stop the surrogate whispers. Now that it’s clear her attempts backfired, she’s going to make herself the victim of her own doing, which will make things even worse for her.”

Royal commentator, Sarah Vine, likened the display to “treason,” suggesting the royal family surely had laws against such obscenities. While the British royal family has yet to comment on the “Jaw-droppingly embarrassing” video of the Sussexes, Prince Harry referenced this pre-birth moment in his 2023 memoir, Spare, fondly recalling the joy and love that filled the room, a stark contrast to the more tense atmosphere during Archie’s birth. It turns out Meghan’s husband finds their scandalous display appealing, regardless of what everyone else thinks.
