Beyoncé may run the world, but even Queen Bey isn’t immune to a fashion flop. The Texas-born superstar experienced an unexpected wardrobe malfunction during her “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in London on Thursday night, and fans are losing it online.
While performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one of six scheduled dates in the iconic venue, Beyoncé was mid-strut in a jaw-dropping gold bodysuit and matching fringed chaps when things literally fell apart. According to TMZ, the Grammy-winning icon looked visibly stunned as her chaps slipped down to the stage floor in front of thousands of fans.
But in true diva fashion, the mother-of-three didn’t miss a beat. The outlet claimed she “effortlessly performed” while bending down to slide the chaps back on, but not all fans were convinced. “This wasn’t a costume malfunction, it was done on purpose!” one fan wrote in the comments section of Daily Mail‘s report, sparking speculation the moment may have been staged. Another joked, “The chaps wanted to be free from her,” while a third took it even further, quipping, “It would be so funny if her wig fell off.” And of course, someone had to bring the drama full circle. “She pulled a Jackson!” a fan said, referencing Janet Jackson’s infamous Super Bowl moment.
Beyoncé Keeps It Flawless After Wardrobe Slip
Despite the minor mishap, Beyoncé kept the energy high in her signature glam with a gold plunging bodysuit, high heels, bold sunglasses, and plenty of star power. The “Cowboy Carter Tour,” officially titled “Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour,” is Beyoncé’s latest global takeover in support of her chart-topping album “Cowboy Carter.” The all-stadium tour includes 32 massive shows across the U.S. and Europe, kicking off on April 28, 2025, in Inglewood, California, and concluding on July 26 in Paradise, Nevada.
As always, Queen Bey is serving iconic fashion along with the music. In one standout moment, she rocked a custom Levi’s one-piece boldly emblazoned with “LEVII’S” across the chest, fully encrusted in Swarovski crystals. The reimagined Levi’s Red Tab logo, spelled with a double ‘i’, was a nod to her viral track “LEVII’S JEANS” from “Cowboy Carter,” and tied in with the limited-edition BEYONCÉ X LEVI’S collection that dropped in May.
To complete the show-stopping ensemble, Beyoncé wore custom Ribcage Wide Leg Jeans transformed into western-style chaps, dripping in Swarovski rhinestones, and topped it all off with a patchwork denim cape hand-stitched from vintage Levi’s denim sourced from different eras, styles, and washes. But, even when the chaps hit the floor, Beyoncé proves that there’s simply no stage she can’t own.
