Defiant Massachusetts Liberals Represent No Kings Even in A Very Conservative Town ‘No Trump Here’

Massachusetts has long been a Democrat and liberal stronghold for decades at this point. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some places in the state that lean heavily into the conservative way of life, and Palmer, Massachusetts, is one of those small, fairly hardcore conservative towns. This didn’t stop plenty of folks from town to come out in force for No Kings Day, with an impressive showing downtown during the nationwide movement.

No Kings Protest #nokings

In exclusive video captured by us here at the Nerd Stash, you can see the downtown main street of Palmer chockful of residents who came out in force to support the No Kings Day movement, which started as a nationwide protest against Donald Trump and his preposterous military birthday celebration, which had a poor turnout apparently.

Folks gathered peacefully, near the true stalwarts of any small Massachusetts town, a Dunkin Donuts and a CVS. Signs range from mild to hilarious, with local people and school teachers all present for the big protest. Some comments from the Palmer Facebook pages range from supportive to combative. This is where the hardcore Republicans took their time and made smart remarks.

“as i cant read the signs im gonna assume all the cheers are for the army anniversary…and not to acknowledge a birthday

“I don’t know what’s going on, don’t go to Palmer much”

“I drove through Belchertown, twice. The crowd grew to twice the size on my way back!”

“Oh YEAH!!!!!”

“Are you suggesting peaceful protests are pointless? Genuinely curious.”

Will this change Palmer into a fortified safe space for Democrats? Let’s be real; it’s not likely, but at least everybody on both sides of the fence mostly got along, and there were no violent or harmful moments between people representing both political affiliations. That is the best we can hope for, and possibly some civil discourse can come from the resulting protests.
