ICE is on the move once again. New York is one of the most significant battlefields left for ICE to handle, as it has millions of immigrants living there. Often, you see them raid restaurants or hotels looking for illegal workers, but this time, they went two steps too far. At 26 Federal Plaza, in New York, before immigration court hearings, mayoral candidate and Democrat Brad Lander was slated to make an appearance. Before he could, federal agents snatched him and arrested him without any warrant or just cause in a shocking viral video.
In a video shared on the PublicFreakout Reddit page by user RoachedCoach, you can see Brad being accosted and arrested by masked agents, and then whisked away into an elevator and ushered out of sight. Brad Lander said this in the video as he was being arrested.
You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens, I’m not obstructing, I am standing right here in the hallway. You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking for a judicial warrant.
The video is shocking, and coming hot off the heels of political assassinations in Minnesota doesn’t help matters at all. Many folks took to the comments and voiced their displeasure at this insanely bold arrest.

It appears Brad Lander was there to support the immigrants, but after their hearings, ICE was on standby, arresting them as they have been doing in one of their favorite schemes. Brad Lander was there with the immigrants and grabbed up with them for no good reason, as he wasn’t obstructing them in any way. This is just another shocking moment in a long line of them by ICE at this point.
