Since the Trump administration was voted into power, it’s been nothing but a corrupt clown fest, with one bad thing after another. And government leaders aren’t the only ones trying to take advantage of the people during this presidency. People in business like Elon Musk and others are seeking clout, profit, and power. Likewise, a dairy farmer in Wisconsin has decided to take legal action by suing the Trump administration. The reason? Trump discriminates against white farmers. Absolute cinema.
According to Wisconsin farm owner Adam Faust, the current administration “favors minorities” and doesn’t provide proper funding to hard-working white folk like himself, per AP News. This isn’t his first rodeo, either. He was also one of the group of farmers who “sued the Biden administration in 2021 for race discrimination.” That isn’t to say farmers don’t need financial aid or shouldn’t receive any funding from the government at all. But people are pretty sick of this whole fiasco, and Reddit users have a thing or two to say about this white farmer’s lawsuit.
“I’m seeing a disturbing trend where Trump supporters are suing the federal government, and the DOJ is just agreeing to pay whatever they’re asking in settlements,” one commenter remarks in response to the Wisconsin farmer’s lawsuit. “It’s just an insane loophole for Trump supporters to get rich off of the government,” they argue. “Republicans love the federal government when they can steal from it,” a reply reads. Others chimed in, saying that these sorts of people are the “biggest welfare queens on the planet” and hate paying taxes like normal people.
Another user calls out the hypocrisy of the situation: “It’s SoCiAlIsM when poor people need government assistance but when they can get free money it’s fine all of a sudden.” A commenter agrees with, “These people are deplorable.” We all want our tax dollars to go towards worthwhile causes, such as education, infrastructure, food supply, and research, among other things. “Instead, it gets shoveled towards Welfare for Old White Men; i.e., paying for Trump to play golf, farm subsidies, Musk’s vanity projects,” a Reddit user complains.
Whatever the case, it’s rather ironic that grifters are attempting to grift grifters in the government. It’s just an endless cycle of corruption, and you and I have to do our taxes to pay for it.
