You never know what you’re going to find every day on the news. ICE drama, government political content, and similar topics have largely dominated the news as of late. One thing you don’t expect is something as twisted as this man carrying a urine-soaked cat with a cord around its neck, who tries to push the person filming as they escape. This Oregon man is still on the loose, apparently, and the citizen who recorded it had plenty to say.
In a stunning video and statement posted by user magdalene-on-fire in the PortlandOR Reddit thread, a video was posted that was looking to see if anybody could help them identify the person who assaulted them and was allegedly mistreating the poor cat. This is what the user posted in the thread.
Thankfully I’m okay, he didn’t push me very hard (and it was kind of a hilarious way he did it, so it’s a little hard to take seriously). This occurred at SE 25th and Morrison. If you see this guy and this cat, please report it to the non emergency line.
I don’t have evidence of the actual peeing other than a picture of the puddle of piss on the ground. You can see in the video that the cat is slightly wet.
As you can imagine, judging by the video and the user’s testimony, which caught them on camera, the internet had a lot of negative things to say about the incident. Here is what some of the posters had to say about the video. If you’re in Portland, Oregon, be cautious.

“Lots of comments I didn’t read but just wanted to say that the Humane Society has their own law enforcement officers. I’d report this to them if you haven’t already, their sole job is to go after scum like that guy, while PPB likely has their hands full”
The thread continues with people claiming to know who the man is, but as of this report, no further confirmation or news is known about their identity or if they’ve been apprehended. Don’t abuse animals, and kudos to this brave person for taking action.
