People have been going to the gym to get in shape for longer than most can remember. However, a place that is supposed to be a safe spot to work on yourself turned into a horror movie for this North Carolina woman. Bethany Bloomer is a North Carolina native who recently shared her unsettling gym story online. The gym has seemingly been confirmed to be a Planet Fitness in Winston-Salem, NC. Planet Fitness is a widely popular gym around the country, as they have locations in all 50 U.S. states.
The Mary Sue reports that an incident had occurred when the North Carolina woman would step into a tanning room inside the gym. Most bigger gyms have tanning beds as well as other non-workout equipment. However, once Beth was done tanning and got out of the bed, the door to her room was “wide open.” Beth confirms she had asked for 12 minutes in the machine. However, after just ten, her skin would reportedly feel like it was “burning,” and she would get out early.
Despite being fully naked, Beth sprang into action and closed the door as fast as possible. She recalls a feeling of relief that nobody had seen her. After getting dressed and attempting to compose herself, Bloomer would speak to the staff at the front desk. She was then informed by the Planet Fitness staff that they do not have a key to the tanning rooms. Although Beth did not buy it, and can be heard arguing in the now viral TikTok. The staff would also attempt to blame a faulty door. After getting nowhere, she would finally call the police. However, they told her that there was no indication that a crime had been committed. Shortly after, law enforcement stated that they “Couldn’t help.”
North Carolina Woman Allegedly Spied on at Planet Fitness
Despite the lack of help from the Planet Fitness staff and the police, the North Carolina woman would unearth yet another shocking truth. The wing of Planet Fitness with the tanning beds does not even have security cameras outside the rooms. Beth allegedly found this very suspicious. She even wonders if this is really the first time something like this has ever happened at that establishment.
As Bethany Bloomer’s terrifying experience comes with no satisfactory ending, she wanted to at least get the word out about what happened. Beth explains she will never return to that gym, and that she believes that someone had been in the room with her while she was in the tanning bed.
Beth explains how she feels “scared and violated” following the incident. As Bethany begins to lose her composure towards the end of her post, viewers are left with an uneasy feeling. However, the North Carolina woman has stated that she is now doing better mentally, and she now believes the door may have been at fault. Whatever caused this mess is a mystery. Although it might have just been a faulty door. However, it could have been something or someone much more sinister.
