Chicago Has Created the Ultimate Cathartic Experience for Anti-ICE People: ICE Piñatas

Don’t hold back

People have been quite angry with how ICE deals with things around the country. While protests have been a great way to show everyone’s opinions on the recent events, some people have created a more cathartic way to deal with this situation. A store in Little Village, a neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, has created a few ICE piñatas. Thanks to this store, citizens can now grab a stick, bat, or whatever they use to break piñatas and let off some steam by hitting these papier mache objects. Oh yeah, and you can get candies in the process.

X user Wu Tang is for the Children shared the clip of a store in Little Village, Chicago, selling ICE piñatas. As you know, ICE has gone off the rails and started to use questionable tactics to detain people. There have even been cases of some of these officers arresting legal citizens. Naturally, people are angry about this. Protests have been one way to show the current government that they disagree with ICE’s way of handling things. Yet, some people are still frustrated, and these piñatas are the cathartic solution everyone has been waiting for. While we do not condone attacking LEOs, hitting a piñata is a whole different matter.

The store is called Dulcelandia, and as you can see, it has a lot of variety in its piñata designs. However, people realized that the store missed one specific detail.

“They failed to include the cowardly masks.” – Bri via X.

As you know, there has been a lot of backlash against ICE, and some of these agents are covering their faces. So, many think that adding masks to the piñatas would make them even more “realistic.” Others, however, have started to show their support for these ICE piñatas.

“I suddenly need one for my birthday this month. Or a few 😄” – Tylan via X.

“I want 4.” – Leslie Bailey via X.

With how things are, we only hope this store can continue to sell these piñatas. Many people are already planning to use them in the protests, so it is safe to say that Dulcelandia will have a lot of customers in the coming days.
