People deserve to be called out when their actions hurt others. As seen in recent protests across the U.S., conservatives are being called out for voting on behalf of policies that severely impact and threaten the lives of Americans and immigrants, as documented in Project 2025. In a video shared on Instagram by Nick Jaine, protestors were seen shouting at a seemingly random man in Washington, DC. Plastered over the video is a caption calling him out as a Nazi working for the Heritage Foundation. I know if I were called a Nazi, I’d defend myself, but strangely, he does not.
The video shows the employee walking down the street, acting as if he can’t hear the people screaming at him. They accuse him of being a white supremacist and ask him questions like, “Do you ever feel like a POS for worshipping a cult leader pedophile racist?” When he approaches a crosswalk and stops for traffic, one of the protestors urges, “You should cross, buddy.” They even go as far as to comment on his attire, “This is the whole package.” And he certainly looks the part—the crew cut, the vacant stare, the lack of fashion. The protestors yell “fascist” as he follows down the road.
Naturally, conservatives see this as harassment, but it’s nothing more than an example of Americans exercising their rights. The Heritage Foundation is recognized as a leading conservative think tank. It opposes LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, immigrants, and healthcare for all. That’s just the tip of the iceberg!
Commenters on Instagram and Reddit seemed to all be in agreement that the interaction was, well, deserved. One commenter stated, “Everyday, all day with these people. Do not let them do this in the shadows. Expose them.” Another replied to them, “That’s because he is winning. He has every reason to be smug cause anyone that has a problem with it will see the inside of a cell and that’s just how he likes it.”
One commenter wrapped up their insults in a nod toward his poor fashion choices. They said, “If he’s willing to torture himself wearing a tie and long sleeves when it feels 100+, I can’t imagine what he’s willing to do to others.”
