Xbox One X has now been confirmed to have over 100 titles that have been enhanced for the console. New and existing games have been updated or built specifically for the higher resolution and smoother framerate. The most recent game to join the Xbox One X is Forza Horizon 3.

The Xbox One X launched in November and popular games such as Assassins Creed Origins and Gears of War 4 have been released for the console. Ashraf Ismail, Game Director, Ubisoft Montreal commented on why Assassins Creed Origins joined this console. He said:

“‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’ is set in Ancient Egypt – a setting that was incredibly challenging and fulfilling to build and explore. In bringing the world to life, we used the power of the Xbox One X to display more of the details and textures in 4K, maintaining higher quality models at further distances so that the world and its cities, like Alexandria and Memphis, feel rich and expansive.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developers believe that this console enhanced the game and improved the quality of gameplay. Jakub Kutrzuba, Development Lead, CD Projekt RED explained why:

“We think Xbox users who haven’t played ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ or who are looking to relive Geralt’s final adventure on the new console will be happy to see what we’ve achieved with the game’s visuals on Xbox One X. Thanks to 4K, we can show everything our artists created with more detail, while HDR support further immerses players within rich, vivid environments. And it’s not just owners of a 4K TV who will benefit from the higher resolution. Thanks to supersampling, the leap in quality will be visible even on a 1080p screen.”

We Happy Few and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered are a couple of games that will be soon developed for the Xbox One X.
