A pair of Mormon missionaries had a scare when they were out teaching the gospel in Texas recently. While they were out sharing their faith and going door to door, they entered a woman’s property and rang her doorbell. Even though the woman warns them about her sleepy dog who is about to “attack” them, they don’t recognize the severity of the situation and completely ignore her pleas, resulting in the dog sneaking up behind them and attacking them, despite the woman’s clear warnings. The incident was caught on camera via the woman’s doorcam and has since been shared to TikTok by the woman’s granddaughter Elissa Flores where it’s gone viral.
The video sees the two Mormon missionaries, sporting their signature white shirts, black ties, and black name tags, approaching the door and ringing the doorbell. The Texas woman opens the door and warns them, “My dog’s asleep. When she wakes up, she’s gonna attack you. She’s deaf.” For a few moments, the Mormon missionaries just stand there looking around, uttering under their breath, “Oh, I’m so sorry.”
Clarifying things further, the woman calmly explains, “When she wakes up, she’s gonna attack you. You need to get out of the shade.” This doesn’t seem to perturb the Mormon missionaries as they continue to dawdle near the entranceway. One of the Mormons even pipes up and asks, “Would it be okay if we maybe said a quick prayer?“
Almost like a scene from a horror movie, you can see the white doggo awaking from her slumber and begin groggily wandering up behind the pair of missionaries. “She’s right behind you.” warns the Texas woman, but it’s too late, as the dog springs into action and begins lunging at and biting the Mormons, while barking aggressively. “I told you!” the woman yells, ending the clip.

Also, you have to reach your arm in the gate to open it. The dog gets to be inside or the backyard other times and this day was one of the cooler days during the week. The dog is deaf. While the footage continues to garner attention online, social media users were amused by the clip. One Redditor chimed in penning, “Dog said yeah you can say a prayer FOR YOURSELF 😡” while another added, “How about don’t f*ckin walk into people’s closed gated yards??” Another joked, “They thought the lord would protect them, whatever that means 😂” A more serious commenter, however, chipped in with, “They could technically sue…“
Luckily, the Mormon missionaries were not hurt during the attack, as the granddaughter does clearly explain that “everyone is okay” and that “they all apologized and went on with their day“.
