A Sunday at Disneyland took a surprising and politically charged turn after a rogue guest successfully placed a handmade “Remember Hiroshima” doll inside the iconic “it’s a small world” attraction, sparking a wave of shock and curiosity across social media.

The incident appears to have occurred on Sunday, August 3, and was first brought to light via TikTok by user Greg Lamp, who posted a now-viral video showing a guest casually walking through Fantasyland with the doll in hand. Modeled after the traditional animatronic children featured in the ride, the doll looked strikingly similar in size and style, but instead of bright smiles and colorful outfits, it wore tattered clothes, a somber expression, and clutched a small sign that read, “Remember Hiroshima.” Greg captioned the clip, “Just a nice relaxing Sunday at #disneyland,” though what followed was anything but routine.

A follow-up photo surfaced days later from TikTok user @jadorebonnieee, who shared an image reportedly sent to her showing the doll fully placed inside the Asia room of “it’s a small world.” The photo depicts the eerie doll propped on a platform among the attraction’s cheerful set pieces, a sharp contrast to the whimsical aesthetic the ride is known for.

“OMG this happened in Disneyland today,” she captioned the post. Though she didn’t take the photo herself, it quickly circulated online, raising questions about park security, ride surveillance, and guest behavior.

Not long after the posts began going viral, the guest behind the act appeared to out herself on TikTok under the username @mamahuahua. In a series of videos, she documents the entire process, from unpacking the doll to smuggling it into Disneyland, even filming the moment it was discreetly placed inside the ride.

While her first video blurs her face and ends with a clip of Disney security following her (with the on-screen text “May have gotten banned”), other posts show her clearly and even include the moment she picks up the doll from a FedEx location beforehand. “It happened 80 years ago. It’s still happening today,” one caption reads, suggesting the act was a deliberate attempt to make a statement about ongoing global violence and remembrance, particularly as the world marked the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing this week.

As of now, it’s unclear whether @mamahuahua has officially been banned from the park, though her cryptic final video suggests consequences may be looming. Disney has not issued a formal statement on the matter, but the doll was reportedly removed shortly after it was discovered.
