Avengers: Infinity War is slated to be one of the biggest films of all time, quite literally. And while we may have an estimate as to just how many heroes and villains will appear, there are still going to be some surprises. One of the most interesting names that could appear is none other than Carol Danvers, a.k.a Captain Marvel.

Danvers has been rumored to appear in the film ever since Marvel first began issuing casting calls for Infinity War. That list included Brie Larson, who was cast as Captain Marvel last year.

The latest issue of Marvel’s True Believers points to Larson making an appearance in the superhero epic as well. True Believers is an initiative Marvel has run over the past couple of years, selling $1 reprints that serve the purpose of marketing characters and concepts they believe will be popular.

According to ICv2, every issue of April’s True Believers one-shots all tie into Infinity War. That list includes Thanos the First, Avengers vs. Thanos, Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos Rising, Infinity Incoming!, Rebirth of Thanos, Infinity War, and last but not least, True Believers: Carol Danvers #1.

Alongside all of this, the Russo brothers let slip at a Marvel-centric event at the Smithsonian Institute that plans are in place for Captain Marvel to make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War. As of now, the directors have stated that 67 people would appear in this movie and the next – which was originally marketed as a two-parter.

Whether she is in the movie or not, Avengers: Infinity War will be released May 4, 2018. Her own standalone film, simply titled Captain Marvel, will release March 6, 2019, starring Brie Larson.
