Sometimes people go a little crazy, especially when it’s a crowd of seemingly like-minded individuals. Either way, it’ll either be organized or complete, out-of-control chaos. This crowd was the latter. On the way to a concert in New York featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, mayhem started when a man decided he was going to climb onto a bus and curse at people below. However, the crowd was not having it and retaliated.
In the video, posted by NY_Scoop on Instagram, you can see the man jumping up and down on top of an MTA bus. He’s heard cursing and shouting at the crowd; meanwhile, he’s also holding up traffic in the area. Both bus passengers and pedestrians walking nearby had enough and intervened. The crowd quickly grabbed the man just as he was getting on the bus. They saw an opportunity and they took it. With his legs acting like bait, the crowd pulls him into the mass of people.
At that point, the man is on the ground. Multiple people from the crowd start beating and kicking the man, as other bystanders shriek and yell. The incident was resolved as quickly as it started. NYPD officers, who arrived on scene, said that traffic was able to resume as normal. The happy ending here is that the concertgoers didn’t have to miss their concert. As for the man on the bus roof? Well, we don’t exactly know what happened to him but his night may have ended in a jail cell.
Commenters were shocked by the incident and how the bystanders ‘handled’ the situation, possibly leaving the man with lasting injuries. “Bro got stomped into a new dimension,” one person said. Another quipped, “Quickest way to get you’re a*s kicked is by making a bunch of New Yorkers late.”
And here I am just wondering what drove the guy to harass the crowd to begin with? You can’t quite make out what he’s saying, but apparently it was enough to rile New Yorkers up. Not to mention, as one person put it, making hardworking people late to work. Hopefully, the guy learns the one important lesson: you aren’t the main character. I can’t believe that has to be said!
