Unless you’re sure about a friend’s political stance, it’s best not to bring up your ideals unless you’re looking to ruin a friendship. Unfortunately for 38-year-old Florida man Donald Henry, he thought his views about Trump were not just more important than his friendship, but his friend’s life. The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office reported that, on October 22, 2022, Henry stabbed his friend to death after a verbal argument, which Law and Crime News claims was about “Donald Trump filing for bankruptcy.”
Allegedly, it was Henry’s family’s military background, not his own, that “kicked in” and caused him to get lethally violent with his friend, resulting in murder. The Florida man tried to claim his actions were simply “self-defense” because his friend’s fists were “deadly weapons.” That said, it should come as no surprise that police charged him with Second Degree Murder, along with Witness Tampering. He will receive his sentence this coming October.
While police reports don’t reveal what political leaning Henry is on, many online users are confident they have a solid idea. “Just guessing heโs a MAGA,” remarks a Facebook commenter. “Lmao thatโs the most MAGA sh*t ever,” laughed a Redditor. “Imagine killing your friend over some moron pedo politician. weak-minded,” said another user on FB. Another highly upvoted Reddit commenter points out how the killer blames his family’s background as service members, not his own: “His…military family background? Not his military background. His military FAMILY background. What a clown.”
Law and Crime state that what triggered Henry to get bloodthirsty was when he felt his friend “was talking to him like he was stupid.” Then, he began attacking the victim with a knife “because he was taught to stop the threat, like police officers are.” It’s hard to even believe a person like this exists. As one puts it: “If you told me this was satire, I wouldnโt doubt you for a second.” At least he’s in custody and will hopefully receive a well-deserved sentencing for his crime come October.
