A bizarre verbal altercation recently unfolded in Florida, when an elderly woman was captured on camera harassing and berating a group of Airbnb guests from Missouri, as she falsely believed they were trespassing on her “homestead property“. Not only did the woman hurl insults at the guests, like “wh*re” and “p*mp“, but she also held up her phone close to their faces in an intimidating way, as she proceeded to record them.
As first reported by Atlanta Black Star, the footage is recorded from the perspective of one of the guests who is being harassed by the Florida woman. Sporting a white top and a black bucket hat, the elderly lady stands in the lobby of a building with her hand on her hip, holding her camera up. “Wh*re. Cheap wh*re.” she casually states to the female Airbnb guest stood next to her. The female guest that she’s targeting with her insults remains stoic and attempts to ignore the woman’s bizarre slights.
In the background you can hear the group of Airbnb guests calmly discussing the situation. Though it’s hard to make out, one of the guests says, “The board of directors is on the fifth floor right now.” Interjecting, the Florida woman exclaims, “Yes, and it’s common elements that I own. Not that they rent. They rent their room, not my common elements.” before hurling another insult at the group, nonchalantly stating, “P*mp. Wh*re.“
One of the guests asks a question, though it’s hard to discern what he asks, specifically. In response, the Florida woman fires back, “No. Because you’re trespassing on homestead property. Where are you from exactly?” To this, one of the guests politely replies, “St Louis, ma’am.” The woman doesn’t seem too impressed by this answer, however. “You’re not from Florida are you? Exactly. Maybe in Missouri you can carry on like you do, but not in Florida. P*mp.”
The bizarre verbal altercation continues when the group attempt to take a lift to their Airbnb room. A small caption flashes up, explaining, “Well then we just tried to get to our room.” As the group take the lift, though, the Florida woman follows them in. She continues to falsely accuse them of “trespassing“, with one of the guests replying, “How are we trespassing? We rented an Airbnb.”
In response, she retorts, “Trespassing on my homestead property in Florida. So what? That gives you a right to your unit and only your unit. And you trespass on my private property. P*mp. Wh*re.” The Airbnb guests awkwardly laugh off the deluge of insults. It’s worth noting that the woman’s speech appears to be slightly slurred, so she could be intoxicated while she is delivering her peculiar tirade.
While the clip garners attention online, social media users took to the comments section to chime in with their thoughts on the rude encounter. Over on Instagram, one person wrote, “Classic Florida right here” while another added, “Stop talking to people like this: Call the police and tell them you fear for your life. This is chess.” Elsewhere, another commenter penned, “Trump got them feeling free” while another simply wrote, “Drugs… kids don’t do drugs… she’s an example“.
