What started as a regular thrift shopping spree for two young White girls turned into a bizarre incident that almost got physical. The two girls had just finished shopping in a Maryland thrift store when they got in line before a Black woman. This apparently angered the woman as she went off on them, calling them names and making a scene at the store.
One of the victims uploaded a video of the incident on TikTok, and the Black woman in question could be seen dressed in a green top and brown pants while wearing a bonnet. She was visibly upset, pointlessly raging about how the girls were shopping at a thrift store, whereas she goes to East Point Mall.
She made fun of the girls, saying, “Oh my god! I’m f*cking armed, oh my god, the KKK? Am I gonna get killed? Who you gonna call? The KKK?” She then proceeded to walk away, but changed her mind and came back to threaten them, daring them to say one more thing so she could “pop” them.
“Say one more f*cking thing b*tch! You ain’t shit! My ancestors’ll f*ck you up!” she yelled, trying to lure the girls into a fight. However, the girls remained silent and didn’t take the bait, allowing her to go on. When the woman was tired of ranting and yelling, she angrily threw some of her things to the ground and walked away.
Off-camera, someone could be heard saying, “psycho!”
Unfazed by the Black woman’s antics, the White girls laughed and conversed with the cashier, who sided with them and encouraged them not to engage with the woman. One of the girls laughed and noted that the woman was “actually insane.” However, the psycho woman had exited the store by then.
The clip of the bizarre incident went viral on the internet and several users pointed out the ridiculousness of the situation. One user wrote, “Making fun of them for being at a thrift store while in the same thrift store buying stuff.” Another user added, “That’s a lot of rage in one package. She was goading the girl to fight her so hard.”
One user chalked up the woman’s behavior to Black fatigue, writing, “Black fatigue is a real thing.” Meanwhile, another praised the cashier for siding with the girls, writing that the woman clearly needed a psych evaluation. “She’s clearly mentally unstable. Good for the clerk for sticking up for the girls,” the user penned.
Another person hilariously made fun of the woman’s unkempt appearance, writing, “Looking like Dave Chappelle on crack.”
Someone in the comments suggested that perhaps the two girls had done something off-camera to provoke the woman. “Where’s the back story? Looks like she was provoked,” the user wrote.
However, the girl who uploaded the video commented that all they did was “literally” get in line before the psychotic woman.
