Every day, there are several serious incidents involving vehicles, including those related to road rage. Therefore, there is a high possibility of encountering someone aggressive, but in the worst cases, someone who is mentally unstable. Such was the case in this road rage incident in Vermont, where one man struck another and severely injured his eyes, leaving him blind. A disagreement should never lead to such serious consequences. This was simply an act of savagery and barbarism.

The WCAX News Team published this shocking news, with very sensitive photos of the victim. According to the article, the police interviewed the victim, Ronnie Bushway, a 46-year-old man. Bushway recounts that he was driving when another car began to accelerate and drive very close to his car. Then the other driver passed him and braked in front of Bushway’s car, causing them to collide. In the middle of the road rage attack, the strange man got out of his vehicle on Malletts Bay Avenue in Winooski, Vermont, to punch Bushway several times in the face, leaving him blind. Afterwards, the attacker simply walked away from the scene and fled.
The attacker apparently used his fingers to seriously injure Bushway. At the hospital, they treated his multiple injuries. However, the damage is so severe that the article included the following: ‘One of his eyes– possibly both– may need to be removed,’ an excerpt of the paperwork of the court. It is utterly unfair that Bushway has to go through such a horrible situation that will leave him scarred for the rest of his life. Fortunately, Bushway had a dashcam, and the video helped the police find the attacker: 44-year-old Aaron Williams. The police arrested Williams at his workplace, and he will not be released for the time being because he is not eligible for bail. It is outrageous that, despite the evidence and the charges of aggravated assault and maiming, the article states that Williams claims he is not guilty.
Additionally, the article does not mention any previous incident that escalated to this horrific outcome. Nevertheless, the police revealed that it was a random attack. So it’s not even that the two men had an altercation that triggered road rage. Rather, Williams is a dangerous person to society, since he attacked another man for no reason. And even if there was a reason, it’s unthinkable that a person would want to hurt someone so badly.
