A routine shift at a local Walmart near Keystone Avenue in Indiana turned into a violent nightmare when a mob of women ambushed an employee in a disturbing attack that left witnesses horrified and viewers stunned worldwide.
Captured in a viral video, the harrowing scene begins as the employee, identified as Tikerra Hicks, exits the restroom and is immediately confronted. In the blink of an eye, a woman in black restrains her while others join in. A woman in pink unleashes savage blows, and another stomps on Hicks relentlessly. A male suspect then joins the onslaught, kicking the fallen victim while another woman in a blue-and-white shirt continues the assault.
Witness Kind Butler, who visits that Walmart nearly daily, told Fox 59, “It was instantly on site… There wasn’t any questioning, no anything. Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”
Caught utterly off guard, Hicks had been receiving threats linked to an alleged rape investigation. However, she vehemently denies any involvement, insisting the attack was a case of mistaken identity: “The alleged rape—has nothing to do with me… I wasn’t there.”
In a cruel twist, Walmart subsequently suspended Hicks following the assault, raising further concerns over how victims are treated in such scenarios.
As the video spread like wildfire, reactions poured in. Many voiced outrage at the unprovoked brutality. Others focused on the swift escalation, comparing it to an impromptu street brawl in a place meant for shopping, not violence. Some described the scene as a grotesque “WWE match gone wrong.”
A Crime Rooted in Confusion
The violence stemmed from rumors tied to the alleged rape case, which left Hicks bewildered and visibly shaken. She told Fox 59 she had only spoken with law enforcement after the fight, calling the investigation’s inclusion of her name as an “other person” in police reports deeply unfair.
